Day 13

13

Today was the final full day of our journey in Africa. Today was described as the “adventure day.” In the morning, a few brave souls decided to go bungee jumping over the Nile River (Myself, Grace Armstrong, Chelsea Raburn, and Josh Flemmer). This was the “fun” highlight of my trip.

After that, we went to go rafting down the Nile. I opted for what was labelled “the extreme boat,” which meant we would be taking all of the hardest routes down the river, which included two category-five rapids, four category-four rapids, and two category-three rapids. It was a blast, and a great team experience. The rafting took all day, and included stopping for lunch on an island surrounded by bats that were flying around, and also being able to swim/float down the river during the peaceful sections. It was a perfect way to end our time in Africa.
