On our last day, we had the opportunity to visit with MarketWatch journalist Francine McKenna. Francine writes primarily on accounting related topics in politics and business. That afternoon, we visited the law firm Bracewell LLP, where we got to discuss with a panel of professionals about current events in economics. It was a great experience speaking with professionals and seeing that we were much more informed and educated as students than we would have guessed. To sum up the trip, it was equally surprising how much we learned as well as it showed how much we were already well-informed about. A big thank you to Dr. Gia Chevis for leading this trip, we were all very grateful for the opportunity to see our nation's capital and learn outside of the classroom.
