Day 3

03

Halfway through our trip, today we visited Cotton and Company, which is an accounting firm that does audits on government entities. We were fortunate enough to visit with the firm and hear about the work they did and go over the extremely interesting case about the corruption at the Port of Seattle. We got to hear about how auditing in the government sector is different than the private sector, which almost all of the audit students on the trip are doing. The main theme of receiving a diversified exposure to all of the options we have with our degrees in accounting was truly incredible. The rest of the day was free time, which most people used to explore different museums and national monuments.
